Water Board MD Does A Surprise Check
The Hindu, Hyderabad, 5 Dec 2010
Several multi-storeyed buildings in Hyderabad continue to pay domestic water tariff, as the Water board managing director noticed during his surprise inspection.

Several multi-storeyed buildings continue to pay domestic water tariff. This was noticed by the Water board managing director, M. Jagadeeshwar, during his surprise inspection of areas in Quthbullapur municipality on Saturday.

He instructed officials to immediately convert the tariff from domestic to multi-storeyed buildings and report compliance within fifteen days. Mr. Jagadeeshwar also verified water sumps, bills and existence of illegal connections. There were complaints of low pressure and officials were asked to supply water in staggered timings to solve this problem. A water supply connection of a function hall in Padmanagar was found to be illegal and was disconnected. The owner of a tiffin centre was asked to apply for a separate connection.
