Officials of Nizamabad municipal corporation, Kamareddy, Bodhan and Armoor towns, are now confident of supplying enough quantity of water to the households in their respective towns.
Drinking water scarcity problem in municipal towns has minimised thanks to incessant rains, which helped to raise the water levels in drinking water tanks. The officials of Nizamabad municipal corporation, Kamareddy, Bodhan and Armoor towns, are now confident of supplying enough quantity of water to the households in their respective towns.
The residents of Kamareddy, Bodhan, and Armoor municipal towns had faced severe drinking water problems last summer. All the municipalities have been depending on the nearest water tanks to supply drinking water for their citizens. Scorching summer coupled with the delay in monsoon had adversely affected the drinking water supply.
Following the efforts of Municipal Corporation and district administration, state government had released water from Nizamsagar project to cater to the drinking water needs.
With the help of police, and revenue officials, the irrigation department took the initiative to move water to the Alisagar reservoir, which pumps drinking water for Nizamabad.
