Drinking Water Projects Inaugurated In Three Villages
Orissa, 21 May 2009
Plans are being mooted to supply water through pipeline, to households in Bada Aryapalli, Sana Aryapalli and Kandara Aryapalli in Orissa.

Drinking water projects were installed in three coastal villages in Chatrapur block of Ganjam district by the Orissa Sands Complex (OSCOM), a unit of the Indian Rare Earths Limited (IREL).

These drinking water projects were inaugurated on Thursday by Ganajm Superintendent of Police (SP) Nitinjeet Singh in the presence of the head of the OSCOM, Dhirendra Mohanty and S.K.Patra, DGM (HRM) of the company. These drinking water projects are part of the corporate social responsibility endeavours of the OSCOM.

The three drinking water projects have been taken up at Bada Aryapalli, Sana Aryapalli, Kandara Aryapalli villages. Borewells have been dug up. The groundwater pumped from these borewells would be stored in overhead tanks in the villages for the use of villagers. Earlier these villages were suffering from lack of proper drinking water. Plans are also being mooted to supply water to the households through pipeline. Around 1500 families of these three villages would benefit from these drinking water projects.
