National Urban Water Awards
RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE IN URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT
The Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), Government of India (GoI), invites entries for the National Urban Water Awards 2010. Entries are invited under 7 categories: (i) Technical Innovation (ii) Financial Reform (iii) Services To The Poor (iv) Citizen Services And Governance (v) Public-Private Partnerships (vi) Urban Sanitation (vii) Communication Strategy And Awareness Generation. All eligible organisations can submit multiple entries in different categories. The entry form for NUWA 2010 may be downloaded from here. Entries should be sent on or before 11th Sep 2010 to:

Rotary Water Award For TNAU: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) and International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Hyderabad, jointly received the Rotary Water Award for 2009-10.
Coimbatore Corporation Puts Up Rain Water Harvesting Structure: The Coimbatore Corporation has put up a rain water harvesting structure to resolve the twin objective of recharging the aquifer and also solving a 20-year problem of water stagnation.
